What is your intention?
Starting a business and running a business is not easy. It is not the easy answer to get out of your corporate role.
If you are looking for the easier option, than stay in your corporate role (but do a role that you enjoy and utilises your skills), but if your heart is in starting your own venture, go for it.
I want you to be aware that you have to really really want to do it. You have to have that desire to transition to your business venture. If you pick a venture that you think is a way to gain easy money and looks easy because others are doing well in it, than this is crazy!
Running a business has to come from you. It has to be a part of you. You cannot fake it. You cannot do what everyone else tells you to do or is doing and think you have to just do the same and it will be true for you. Faking it always shows through.
If you want to be in it for the long run, you have to go all in and bring you fully to the business. You are the true ambassador of your business.
You have to be your strength when you go through the ups and downs of a business life. You can't just quit at the first hurdle. There will be many hurdles ahead, but your resilience and passion for what you do will see you through. But if you are in a venture that was not in your heart and isn't a true part of you, you will quit and give up. That's when you want to revert back to the 9 to 5.
Now, I am not saying business does not come with huge rewards, it does and that may not be loads of money to begin with. It may be something simple, small things you have done that has impacted people's lives and situations. That makes the business an extra blessing.
So, if you are thinking of starting a business or you are currently a business owner who is in the early years of business, ask yourself how do you truly feel about it and is it a part of who you are.
Are you doing it just because you want to make easy money and earning big amounts of money is all you want from it, or are you in it because its your desire and purpose in life?
Your answer to this question will give you the answer as to whether you will be in it for the long haul or not.
